We have great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 6th international symposium ‘
‘Contemporary Issues of Literary Criticism’, which will take place on 26-28 September, 2012.
The symposium is thematic. The main topic of the event is:
‘Medieval Literature Processes: Europe, Asia, Georgia.’
(Symposium is dedicated to 300th Anniversary from the first printed publication of Shota Rustaveli’s Poem ’The Knight in the Panther's Skin’)
The suggested panels for discussion at the symposium are:
· Middle Ages – Epoch and Cultural Trends
· Literary genres in the Middle ages
· The Literary Tradition of the Middle Ages: The East and The West
· The problems in the relationship of European and National Literary Contexts
· Shota Rustaveli and his Poem ‘The Knight in the Panther’s skin’
· Clerical Literature in the Middle Ages
· Medieval Literature and Modern Literary Processes
Round table will be held.
Working languages of the Symposium are Georgian, English, Russian.
The interested applicants should send paper titles, abstracts of no more than 250 words (Font: Times New Roman, Size 11, Line spacing - single) and filled registration forms electronically to the Organizing Committee on the following emails by April, 15, 2012:

Please note that the thesis that does not follow the formatting rules will not be evaluated!
The organizing committee of the symposium grants the right to evaluate the submitted abstracts and determine whether it is appropriate for the symposium.
The approved participants will be sent informational communiqué and they have to pay the registration fee.
Registration fee for participants – € 80 (110 USD)
Participation without attendance – € 40 (55 USD)
Participation without presentation – € 40 (55 USD)
The registration fee includes:
· Coffee breaks during symposium days
· Lunches during symposium days
· Symposium Publications
Symposium participants will also be offered a cultural programme.
After the completion of the symposium a volume of selected papers will be published (symposium proceedings). The submitted papers will undergo blind peer-review (Please, note that the postal service of sending the proceedings is not included in the registration fee).
